Anki to Notion converter
Open your Anki deck and download a CSV. Notion imports it as a database, one page per card.
Drop the Anki deck you want in Notion
.apkg or .colpkg, up to 500 MB. It opens right here, nothing is uploaded.
How to move an Anki deck to Notion
- 1Export the deck from Anki as an .apkg (gear next to the deck → Export), or use a shared deck file.
- 2Drop it here and click CSV for Notion.
- 3In Notion: Settings → Import → CSV (or type /csv on a page), pick the file and choose New database.
What carries over
- Front becomes each page's title. Back, Tags and Deck become columns. Formatting becomes plain text.
- Cloze cards show the answer in [brackets].
- Pictures and audio aren't part of a CSV. Use Word (.docx) or Print / PDF to keep pictures.
- Notion's free plan imports CSV files up to 5 MB; paid plans up to 50 MB. Filter big decks by sub-deck first.
Turn the database into a self-quiz
A database view can hide the answer column, which turns the import into a quick self-check. It isn't spaced repetition, though: your review schedule stays in Anki.
- 1Open the database as a full page and add a second view, like a List. Each view keeps its own settings, so your table stays as it is.
- 2In the new view, open the settings menu at the top of the database → View settings → Property visibility, and hide Back. Only the fronts are left.
- 3Answer in your head, then open the card. A database page shows its properties at the top, so Back is right there.
- 4Add a Checkbox property called "Got it" and tick the cards you knew. Then filter the quiz view to Got it is unchecked, so only the misses are left. A filter on Deck quizzes one lecture at a time.

Questions
Is my deck uploaded anywhere?
No. The deck opens inside your browser; the file never leaves your device. That's also why huge decks (over 500 MB) can't be opened.
Which Anki files work?
Any .apkg (a shared deck) or .colpkg (a full collection backup), from old Anki versions and the newest ones.
Do pictures show?
Yes, pictures inside the deck show on the cards and in the PDF. Audio is left out.
Can I open shared decks like AnKing?
Yes, if your computer has enough memory. For very big decks, export just the sub-deck you need from Anki first.
Can I add the cards to a database I already have?
Yes. Open the database as a full page, click ⋯ → Merge with CSV. The column names in the CSV (Front, Back, Tags, Deck) need to match your database's property names.
Can I turn them into toggles?
Notion's import makes a database, not toggles. Each row opens as a page, which works like a flip card: the title on top, the back inside.
