What carries over
- Terms and definitions become the front and back of each card. Pick "Both ways" to also get definition → term cards.
- Pictures and audio don't come with Quizlet's text export.
- Your Quizlet progress stays in Quizlet: every card starts as new in Anki.
- Quizlet only lets you export sets you made yourself, and only on its website. Some free accounts no longer see Export at all.

Questions
Why can't I see Export on Quizlet?
Export is only on the website, only for sets you created, and Quizlet has removed it for some free accounts. If it's missing, copy the cards by hand into two columns (term, definition) and paste them here.
My definitions got cut at a comma. Why?
The set was exported with commas between term and definition. Choose "Tab" in Quizlet's export, or set the separator here to match.
Do you scrape Quizlet?
No. We never touch quizlet.com. You paste the text Quizlet gives you.
Quizlet to Anki not working?
Older tools that fetched sets straight from Quizlet often break when Quizlet changes its site: the Anki add-on shows errors for many students, and Ankiport stopped when Quizlet closed its API. Pasting the export here doesn't depend on Quizlet's site, so it keeps working.
Do I need the Quizlet to Anki add-on?
No. Paste the export here and download an .apkg that opens in Anki with no add-ons.
Anki or Quizlet: which is better for exams?
For long courses like med school, Anki: it schedules each card on its own, so you review what you're about to forget and skip what you know. Quizlet is quicker for a short list you'll only need for one test.
Is it really free? Do you keep my cards?
Yes, free, with no sign-up. Everything happens in your browser: your cards and files never leave your device.
How do I open the .apkg in Anki?
Double-click the file, or in Anki choose File → Import and pick it. On AnkiMobile or AnkiDroid, open the file from your downloads (or share it to the app).
Will importing twice make duplicates?
No. The same front and back always get the same id, so Anki updates the card instead of adding a copy.
Can I make cloze cards?
Yes. Write blanks the Anki way, like {{c1::ATP}} is made in the {{c2::mitochondria}}, and they become cloze cards.
