How to make cloze cards
- 1Paste a sentence or a paragraph. Each paragraph becomes its own card (or set of cards).
- 2Click the words to hide. Click neighbouring words to hide a whole phrase like "red blood cells".
- 3Choose one card per blank or all blanks on one card, then download the deck or copy the text.
Cloze tips that actually help
- Hide the one thing you need to remember, not half the sentence.
- One card per blank is usually better: each fact gets its own review.
- Keep the context words that make the answer guessable only if you know the material.
- The copied text pastes straight into Anki's Cloze note type (Text field).
- For diagrams, use image occlusion instead (built into Anki since 23.10). AnkiDecks makes image-occlusion cards from the diagrams in your slides.

Questions
What's the difference between c1 and c2?
Each number is a separate card. {{c1::A}} and {{c2::B}} make two cards; {{c1::A}} and {{c1::B}} hide both on the same card.
Can I add a hint?
Yes, in Anki: {{c1::answer::hint}} shows the hint in the blank. Add it after copying the text.
Is it free?
Yes, free and no sign-up. Your text stays in your browser.
